DNA Testing
• Unopened Kits: DNA kits have a shelf life of up to four years.
• After Sample Collection: Once samples are collected, they remain usable for up to three months.
• Paternity Tests (Father and Child): Results are typically available within one to two business days after the laboratory receives the samples.
• Relationship Tests (e.g., Sibling, Grandparent): Typically completed within three to six business days.
• Prenatal DNA Testing: Usually finished within three to seven business days.
• Delivery of Results: Final documentation is sent via mail and/or email, based on client preference.
• Local Collector: A professional collector can visit the client’s location.
• Mail-In Kit: Clients receive a buccal (cheek) swab collection kit with return packaging.
• Avoid eating, drinking, or using mouthwash for at least 30 minutes before testing.
• Only donors or clients are permitted at the testing site; additional guests are not allowed.
• Clients must arrange a suitable testing location, as testing cannot be conducted at a client’s residence.
• Standard Mileage Rate: A fee of $0.70 per mile applies for travel beyond a 25-mile radius, payable upfront.
• Extended Travel: Distances exceeding 50 miles may incur additional travel time billed at $35.00 per hour.
• Calculation: Mileage is calculated for a round trip.
• Waivers: Mileage fees may be waived for bulk testing contracts or special agreements.
Yes, expedited results are available upon request. Clients should contact the office for pricing information.
• Base Fee Coverage: The base fee includes up to two parties (e.g., one alleged father and one child).
• Additional Party Fee: $150 per additional party.
• Group Discounts: Available for testing more than three additional parties—contact the office for a customized quote.
• Documentation: All parties must provide valid identification and consent forms before testing. Birth certificates are accepted for minors.
